Arthur McIntyre, Jr.

Mr. Arthur McIntyre, Jr., age 65 of 3323 Gumlog Road, Martin, Georgia passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at his residence.

A son of the late Arthur, Sr. and Lessie Mae Brown McIntyre, he was born April 21, 1951 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was employed with Bowen and Watson for some 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah McIntyre in 2015 and by a son, Anthony McIntyre.

Survivors include a son, Chad McIntyre of Toccoa; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Roy Lee and Maude McIntyre of Toccoa; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes and Danny Marcus of Martin, Mildred Carter, Dorothy Smith and Doris and Allen Dodgins all of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 7, 2016, 11O’clock AM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ray Bohannon officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Danny Marcus, James Alexander, Tyler Alexander, Robert Embry, Jimmy Garner and Casey Garner.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM until 8 PM. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Arthur McIntyre, Jr.
