Vonda Jane Hebb Tanner

Vonda Jane Hebb Tanner, 78, of Lula passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Chris Anderson and Reverend Jamie Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 4, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.                 

Mrs. Tanner was born on April 12, 1938 in Grafton, West Virginia to the late Ernest T. Hebb and Effie Jane Shoemaker Hebb. She was a homemaker and a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church.

Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Billy Tanner; sisters, Dorothy Anderson, Mary Gower, Ester Shingleton and Violet Singleton; brothers, Robert Hebb and Junior Hebb.

Mrs. Tanner is survived by her husband, Randy Eller of Lula; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Art Strickland of South Carolina and Donna and Scott Cheek of Gillsville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Libby Tanner of Gillsville, GA; step-children, Debbie and Rick Stevens of Japan, Rena and Gerald Velie of North Carolina, Tina and Mike Peterson of Lincolnton, GA, Randy Dean and Holly Eller of Chattanooga, TN; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister, Susie Mullins of Ohio; brothers, Gerald Hebb of West Virginia, Carl Hebb of Maryland and Richard Hebb of New Jersey.
