Mr. Elbert “Bud” Hoffman, age 81, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center - Braselton, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Maranatha Baptist Church with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Rod Bell will officiate. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the church.
Mr. Hoffman was born March 6, 1935 to the late Carl & Lola Hoffman in Washington, D.C. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, participating in the Bus Ministry and retired from Major Tooling, Inc., where he was a Truck Driver. Mr. Hoffman was also preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Maddox and Kate Orosco; and brother, Jess Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife, Sandra Hoffman of Gainesville; son, Chris P. Hoffman of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Chris Hoffman, Jr., Autumn Hoffman Savage, and Samantha Hoffman Baker; great-grandchild, Chance Savage; brothers, Dale Hoffman of Arkansas and Dink Hoffman of Kankakee, Illinois; and sister & brother in-law, Doris & Larry Dobson of North Augusta, South Carolina.
