Barbara Nanette Buchanan

Barbara Nanette Buchanan age 85 of Athens passed away Thursday June 30, 2016 at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
 
Miss Buchanan was born March 26, 1931 to the late Clyde Davis & Bessie Alexander Buchanan. She was the former secretary of the First Baptist Church, Commerce where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her sister & brother in law, Mary L. & Warner B. Fleming, aunts, Clara, Thelma, Lucy, Lily, & Lula Alexander, & uncles, Rob & Will Alexander.
 
Survivors include, nephews, Jim Warner Fleming of Hull & John Andrew Fleming of Danielsville.
 
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 3, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Commerce with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery.
   
The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 p.m. at the church on Sunday.
 
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Commerce, The Commerce Food Bank, or The Lanier Gardens Library Fund.
