Barbara Lanette Painter

Barbara Lanette Painter, 80, of Buford, GA died on June 28, 2016.  Born in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late George and Ollie Johnson.

Barbara had a varied career as a writer, musician, key punch operator and waitress.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by her sons, Tony (Kay) Painter of Rebuck, PA and Perry (Mozell) Painter of Cumming, GA; daughter, Robin Painter Campbell of Jacksonville, FL; and much-loved grandchildren, Ben Painter, Jason Painter, Sara D’Anna, Gracie Tidwell, Zach Tidwell, Josh Tidwell, Racheal Martin, Mary Rooks and Maddie Painter; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.  Friends are invited to share memories with the family at a reception following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Autism Society (autism-society.org).
