Corrie Crook Nix

Mrs. Corrie Crook Nix, 98 of Chicopee died Tuesday June 28, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton.

Born in Jackson County, Mrs. Nix had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late F.L. and Pearl Whelchel Crook.  Mrs. Nix was retired from the Chicopee Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Chicopee Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Susie Nix, Chestnut Mountain; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie Sue and Bobby Vaughan, Gainesville; grandchildren, Ronnie Weaver (Janet), Lisa Palmer (Steve), Ken Nix, Randy Nix (Claudia), Jeff Nix, Stacey Smallwood (Matt), Lori Smallwood (Trent); 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Nix is preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.C. Nix, daughter, Janice Weaver and 4 sisters and 4 brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday June 30, 2016 at the Alta Vista Cemetery.  Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
