Tammy Linkous Henson, 58, of Roswell, GA passed peacefully on June 26, 2016. Born in Bluefield, WVA on May 27, 1958, she was the daughter of Malcolm and Peggy Linkous and moved to Atlanta soon thereafter.
Tammy grew up in the area near Peachtree Dunwoody and Johnson Ferry, that later became Northside Hospital and Perimeter Mall. As a girl, Tammy loved to ride horses. She and her friends would occasionally ride along Peachtree Dunwoody Road and into the area that would become Perimeter Mall.
Tammy graduated from Chamblee High School in 1977. After graduation, she was selected by her dentist to train with him as a dental assistant. She enjoyed her training and worked as a dental assistant in the Roswell and Sandy Springs area for the next 40 years. Tammy touched many lives and was a true friend to all. She was a bright spirit who inspired others with her energy and love of life.
In addition to her parents, Tammy is survived by her husband, Larry Henson; brother, Mark Linkous; nephew and niece, Isaac and Kali Linkous; uncle, Richard Mosrie and his sons, Rich and Phil; uncle, Christopher Linkous and his wife, Joyce and children, Christie and Dwayne; aunt, Janet Wiles and her daughters, Courtney and Kandy; and her best friend of 50 years, Angela.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2016 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8 from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
