Alton Phillip Chapman

Mr. Alton Phillip Chapman, 58 of Gainesville died Monday June 27, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A  lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Chapman was the son of the late Alton Terrell and Bonnie Lou Wingo Chapman. He had worked for  Winn-Dixie for a number of years,  where he was the produce manager.   He was a graduate of North Hall High School and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his aunt, Sue Reidling of Gainesville and  6  first cousins.

Mr. Chapman is preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Stuart and Nell Chapman, maternal grandparents, Otis and Beulah Wingo, aunts, Ernestine Norton and Brenda Whelchel, uncle, Jerry Chapman.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 30, 2016 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends at  Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to ones favorite charity in memory of Mr. Chapman.
