James Maurice Meeks

Mr. James Maurice Meeks, age 86, of Maysville, GA died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his residence.  Mr. Meeks was born in Vale, NC to the late W.E. and Ola Craven Meeks.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from General Motors.

Mr. Meeks is survived by his wife, Mary Thompson Meeks; daughter, Rae Lee Standridge (Billy); son, Mark Edward Meeks (Alice) all of Maysville; sisters, Peggy Gordon of Commerce and Mildred Sailors of Orange Park, FL; brother, Billy Meeks of Lula; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, June 29 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Lott officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 5 to 8 PM.
