Gary Fred Sellers, age 67 of 2668 Rock Quarry Circle, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his residence.
A son of Sally Payne Sellers and the late Fred Sellers, he was born June 17, 1949 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He worked in several frame shops in and around Habersham County for a number of years and later opened his own business, Gary’s Hobby Shop. He was an avid racer and race fan and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Stevie Sellers and by a sister, Gail Burch.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Harmon of Westminster, South Carolina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Lisa Sellers and Casey and Lynn Sellers both of Toccoa; step-son, Chris Thompson of Lula, Georgia; grandchildren, Hope Sellers, Chaz Sellers, Brandon Sellers and Brittany Sellers; four brothers, Kenneth Sellers and Terry Sellers of Toccoa and Dwayne Sellers and Wildon Sellers both of Carnesville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Curtis Long, The Reverend Albert Hudson and The Reverend Chris Paige officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brian Sellers, Steve Sellers, Nick Sellers, Ray Dodgins, Brian Cook, Tommy McIntyre, Gary McCoy and Kenneth Westbrooks.
The family will be at the home of his mother, Mrs. Sally Payne Sellers, 530 Ward’s Circle, Toccoa and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 PM until 9 PM. Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Gary Fred Sellers.
