Talmadge Mullinax

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Talmadge Mullinax Jr., age 80 of Gaineville. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Mullinax passed away Saturday June 25, 2016.

Mr. Mullinax was born in Hall County to the late Talmadge Mullinax and Maybelle Holland Mullinax. He served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific. After a career of 46 years in the hardware business, he retired from Athens Hardware in 2001. He was ordained as a deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church in 1982. At the time of his death he was a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brothers, L.G. Mullinax, Robert Mullinax, and sisters, Henrietta Johnson and Mildred Grier.

Survivors include wife, Shelba Jones Mullinax, Gainesville, nieces and nephew, Susan Clark, Vickie Kendrick, Stan Mullinax, sister-in-law, Bobbie Mullinax and several other relatives.
