Joseph “Smiley” Alexander

Mr. Joseph “Smiley” Alexander, age 82, of Nicholson, GA died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Northridge Health and Rehab.  Mr. Alexander was born in Cleveland to the late William Hensley and Anna Blackman Alexander.  He was a member of River of Life Worship Center and retired from the University of Georgia.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Henry “Boots” Alexander.

Mr. Alexander is survived by a number of nieces.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Tuesday, June 21 at River of Life Worship Center with Rev. Bobby Ivester officiating.  Interment will follow at Howington Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6 to 8 PM.
