Josie Virginia Montgomery age 82 of Commerce passed away Friday June 17, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Montgomery was born August 7, 1933 in Banks County to the late John Knox & Lessie Kesler McDuffie. She worked at The Pottery Factory Outlet before she retired and was a homemaker. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Eugene Montgomery, and a son Kenneth Parks Segars, two sisters, Johnnie Sue McDuffie & Mary Alice McDuffie.
Survivors include, son & daughter in law, John & Gail Segars of Commerce, daughters & sons in law, Martha & Frank Rodriguez, Kennesaw & Charlotte & Billy Boyer of Commerce. 13 grandchildren 41 great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Montgomery will lie in state from 10:30am until the service time on Tuesday at the Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
