Jurelle Smith Webb, aged 80, died on June 14, 2016 after a four year battle with cancer. She was recently preceded in death by her husband, Quincy.
Jurelle was born on August 18, 1935 in Hall County, Ga to Jim W. Smith and Opal Propes Smith. After her marriage to Quincy in 1967, they moved to Douglas County, Ga where they raised their children and then moved to Rabun County, Ga where she and Quincy owned and operated the Clayton Café for many years. Her passion was decorating, and she spent much of her free time decorating her homes.
Jurelle is survived by her daughter Julie (Steve) Smith of Alpharetta, GA, and her son Scott Gee of Dawsonville, GA; her grandchildren Jordan Smith of Atlanta, GA, Garett Gee of Lithia Springs, GA and Sydney Smith of San Francisco, CA; her sister Opaline McDonald of Blaine, MN and her brother Equen (Priscilla) Smith of Marietta, GA; along with many other family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home 150 Sawnee Dr., Cumming, GA. A memorial service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
Thank you to the staff of The Oaks at Post Road and Optum Hospice (especially Angela) for the exceptional care given to our mother during these past few months. She loved you all!
