James Rockwell “Rocky” Potts

James Rockwell “Rocky” Potts, age 50, of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.

Mr. Potts was born on March 19, 1966, in Commerce, Georgia, to the late Bennie and Betty Ruth Willis Patton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Lance. Rocky was an officer with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Department and a member of Demorest Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Shiela Potts, Toccoa; daughter, Chelsey Quick, Cornelia; son, Mitchell Potts, Demorest; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Bob Williams, Hollywood; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Johnny Willis and Mitchell Potts officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the funeral home.
