Gladys Gilleland Smith

 Mrs. Gladys Gilleland Smith age 82 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday June 16, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral service are scheduled for Saturday June 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Ronald Seabolt will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday June 17, 2016 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

 Mrs. Smith was born on April 17, 1934 in Cumming, Ga to the late Hubert Gilleland and Connie Helton Gilleland. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and worked as a housewife. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Smith, daughter, Connie Faye Smith, son, Scottie Smith, and grandson, Darrin Stroud.    

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Frank Lawson of Cleveland, son and daughter, in-law, Ronnie and Sherry Smith of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, William and Kristina Smith of Gainesville, daughter-in-law, Jeanette Smith of Gainesville, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
