Virginia Jordan Nix

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Virginia Jordan Nix, age 75 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Monday, June 13, 2016.  Mrs. Nix was born in East Point, Georgia the daughter of the late John S. and Lucille Milligan Jordan.  Mrs. Nix was retired from the Jefferson City School System, and was a member of the New Beginnings Outreach Pentecostal Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nix is preceded by her husband Dennis Ronald Nix, brother, Jerry Jordan, grandchildren; Timothy Scott Nix and Jamie Lynn.

Survivors include son, Kenneth Michael Nix and his wife Carol Ann of Jefferson, daughters; Connie Nix Lynn and her husband Mike of Jefferson, Kimberly Nix Cowart and her husband Ellis of Macon.  Three brothers; Billy Jordan of Hampton, Jimmy Jordan of Conyers, and John Jordan, Jr. of Atlanta.  Four Grandchildren, Ashley Nix Wells, Anna Marie Nix, Dennis Taylor Maddox, and Haleigh Danyelle Maddox.  Four great Grandchildren; Carly Nix, Lilly Grace Wells, Jasper Lynn and Milo Lynn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 16, 2016 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Norris officiating with burial to follow in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, Georgia.  The family will receive friends 5 – 8 P.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 and from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Thursday, prior to the service.
