Mrs. Sarah Eloise Stringer was born June 1, 1929 to the late Clyde and Minnie Thompson Williams in Flowery Branch. She joined Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age.
Her high school education was completed at Industrial High School in Gainesville, GA. After that she attended Savannah State College, she taught at Mount Zion and Green hunter Nursery.She loved her church where she served on the mission and the mother’s board. She was also a deaconess.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stringer. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters; Mrs. Gloria J. Strickland, Gwendolyn Kaye (David) Harper, Thalia (Freddie) Blackwell, and one son Mr. Robert Stanley Stringer, six grandchildren: Mrs. Camille Rubin, Mrs. Carmen Eberhart, Shannon Earls, Fredrick Blackwell, Kelly Williams, Cameron Williams, eleven great grandchildren, five sisters: Mrs. Maggie R. Lowe, Mrs. Geraldine (B.G) Roberts, Dorothy (Gene) Dean of Augusta, GA, Mrs. Doris Evans, Mrs. Earnestine (Harold) Williams, Clinton of South Carolina, sister-in-laws: Mrs. Bertha Keels of Flowery Branch, G, Mrs. Clara Bulloch , Mrs. Anna Stringer, Jenny Williams of Marietta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
