Ronald Douglas Bailey, 64, of Dawsonville, GA died at his home on June 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Atlanta, GA he was the son of the late James and Betty Bailey. He is also predeceased by his sister, Carmen Irene Bailey and brother, William Charles Bailey.
Ronnie was a committed teacher who gave 40 years working with young people. He was also a committed Christian and member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church in Oakwood. He was a loving husband, dad and “papa” who will be greatly missed by his family.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Donna Bailey of Dawsonville, GA; daughters, Jennifer Leigh (Matthew) Glover of Conway, AR and Carmen Bailey Daniel of Jefferson, GA; sister, Sheila Bailey (Larry) Williams of LaGrange, GA; and much-loved grandchildren, Bailey Elizabeth Glover, 16, Matthew Cole Glover, 11, Andrew Douglas Daniel, 9, and Adalyn Grace Daniel, 5; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 10, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Douglasville, GA. Interment will follow at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am and 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the church.
