Lloyd “Danny” Daniel Whisnant

Mr. Lloyd “Danny” Daniel Whisnant, age 56 of 434 Adams Road, Martin, Georgia passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital.

A son of the late Lloyd and Jewell Burrell Whisnant, he was born August 7, 1959 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was in the home construction business for a number of years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was loved, adored and respected by his nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loydene Barton and by two brothers, Leonard and Joel Whisnant.

Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Ervin Whisnant and Edward and Claudette Whisnant both of Martin, Georgia; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Dennis Dailey and Pat Simmons of Toccoa, Melinda Payne of Alpharetta, Georgia, Hilda Pearson of Martin, Georgia, Deborah Everts of Braselton, Georgia and Lynn and Paul Bross of Irving, California; brother-in-law, Sam Barton of Mission Viejo, California; number of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Friday, June 10, 2016 at 4 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Buddy Dailey, Brian Paige, Jerry Lee Jackson, Jason Jackson, Chip Pearson and Chuck Pearson.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dailey, 40 Oak Cliff Drive, Toccoa and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM.  Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Lloyd “Danny” Whisnant.
