Charles O. Johnstone

Mr. Charles O. Johnstone, age 86, of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away Wednesday, June 8 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Johnstone was born June 20, 1929 in Bellevue, PA. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1965 and in 2002 moved to Sautee, GA. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served with the Seabees from 1950-1953. He was sales representative for Cherrydale Farms and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Charles was well known in White County for all of his charitable work.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Johnstone; children and spouses, Chuck and Janet Johnstone, Cleveland, GA; Karen Lennon, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Keith and Laura Johnstone, Moody, AL; Melissa and Frank Guida, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Mark Johnstone, Bismark, ND; grandchildren, Lindsey Comsa, Jessica Lennon, Shea Lennon, Kyle Johnstone, Evan Johnstone, Cody Johnstone, Katlin Johnson, Gracey Shelly; great granddaughter, Skylar Comsa; sister, Mary Nell Hurd.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
