Willie Lou Westmoreland

       Willie Lou Westmoreland, age 100 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, June 06, 2016 at the Oaks of Limestone following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Phil Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Westmoreland was born May 30, 1916 in Gainesville, Georgia to William Ratliff Couch and Sally Holland Couch. She was retired from Chicopee Mfg. and was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church. Mrs. Westmoreland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Westmoreland and her son, Robert “Bobby” Westmoreland, Sr.

            Mrs. Westmoreland is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lorraine Westmoreland of Lula; grandsonand wife, Robert & Courtney Westmoreland, Jr. of Lula; granddaughter & husband, Robin & Jeff Bernier of Lula; 6 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Marvin Bruce of Atlanta; brother, Vernice Couch of Gainesville; brother, Burlon Couch of Toccoa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
