Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Nolan Leon “Pedro” Brown, age 74 of Gainesville. The Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Arthur Sutherland will officiate. Interment will follow at the Buffington Family Cemetery at White Hall Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Brown, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, Monday June 6, 2016 surrounded by his family following an extended illness.
Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of Hall County and was the son of the late Delmer and Myrtle Turner Brown. He was a member of Springway Baptist Church since childhood. He was retired from SIFCO, as an electrician. He enjoyed working with small engines, repairing or just tuning up. He also loved tinkering in his shop. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eldon, Royce and Danny Brown.
Survivors include wife of 54 years, Evelyn Brown, son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Kathy Brown, beloved grandson, Tyler, brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Mary Ellen Brown, sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Billy Poole, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty and Junior Gillespie, Carolyn and Derrell Sullens, Rita Miller, Vicki and Stan Fuller and numerous nieces and nephews.
