David Lester Beville went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2016. He was born in Atlanta July 18, 1949 to Sylvia and Forrest Beville. He graduated from Brown High School in 1967, Georgia Institute of Technology in 1971, and Columbia Theological Seminary in 1974. He was the faithful husband to his wife of almost 42 years, Margaret Mowbray Beville, loving father to his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ashley Martin, and devoted grandfather to Garrett, Laura, and Rebekah Martin.
David worked as a financial analyst for Genuine Parts Company for 20 years and served the Lord as a beloved Presbyterian minister in Valdosta, Jackson, Hapeville, Warm Springs, Bremen, Douglasville, and Gainesville, Georgia. Right to the end he touched the lives of many as he was a patient in several hospitals during his final weeks. He was known by all to be a loving, pleasant person. He exemplified the love of Christ by truly and deeply caring for people and always took the time to reach out to others despite his own infirmities.
Visitation at Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville) will be Wednesday, June 8, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Interment at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville will be Thursday, June 9, at 1:15 and will precede the worship service at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church (2023 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA). Pastor Lee Lovett and The Rev. Dave Fahner will officiate.
