Henry Dewitt Martin, age 76, of Cumming passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. Mr. Martin was first and foremost a God-fearing man, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. A veteran of the U.S. Army he was 100 percent disabled due to his injuries while serving in Korea. Mr. Martin was a member of The Sugar Hill Church.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Patricia Ann Martin of Cumming; son, Drew Martin of Braselton; daughters, Debbie (Tim) Tinsley of Cumming, Lisa Youngblood of Cumming, Jamie W. Pruitt of Athens; grandchildren, Nicole Page, Gregory Webster, Stuart Shires, Mike Rowland, Ethan Pruitt, Austin Rowland, Sydney Shires, Camden Martin; great grandchildren, Brayden Shires and Cassie Shires; brother, Luther Martin of Griffin; sister-in-law, Alice Martin; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Allen officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be Tuesday, June 7, at 12:00 noon at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday the hour prior to the service.
