Betty Jean Snelling Bennett

Mrs. Betty Jean Snelling Bennett, age 86, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Northridge Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Bennett was born in Monroe to the late Charlie James and Thelma Tallulah McCarty Snelling.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was a retired nurse from BJC Medical Center.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Bennett, Jr.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son, Robert Lee Bennett, III of Snellville; daughters, Donnah Sparks and Carol Schneider both of Commerce, Linda Hadden of Morristown, TN and Teresa Cornell of Marietta; brother, Charlie Mac Snelling of Jefferson; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Friday, June 3 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. John Hadden and Rev. Blake Carter officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 5 to 8 PM.
