Sarah Nell Verner Stowe

Mrs. Sarah Nell Verner Stowe, age 77 of 28 Ranger Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Griff and Jessie Taylor Verner, she was born October 20, 1938 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was employed with Toccoa Casket Company for a number of years and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenyon Stowe in 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Stowe and a son, Alton Stowe both of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Junior Turpin of Eastanollee; special nephews and niece, Randall and Bonnie Cleveland of Toccoa and Michael Cleveland of Eastanollee; a number of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Albert Hudson and the The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Randall Cleveland, Michael Cleveland, Ethan Partain, Chris Scott and Craig Cleveland.

The family will be at the home on Ranger Drive and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.  Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
