Mr. William “Bill” Jackson age 82, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Jackson was born January 27, 1934, in Cleveland, GA, to the late Frank and Bonnie Freeman Jackson. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mae Bowen, Lelia Dyer, Onie Brown and brother, Ed Jackson. Mr. Jackson was Machinist for Talon for 45 years and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Jackson loved people and was a friend to everyone. He loved his simple small town life and making people laugh. He liked to drive and ride. Mr. Jackson was a beloved husband and father to his wife and children.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Jackson; daughter and son in law, Kathy and Jim Medlock; son and daughter in law, Charles and Ponda Jackson; step daughters and sons in law, Tammy and Dwayne Shelnut, Susan and Steve Dixon, Amy and Charles Swing, step son and daughter in law, Kerry and Sandy Walden; sisters in law and brothers in law, Elaine and Clyde Moody, Kay and Royal Jackson, special nephew, Buddy Brown, special friend Ed Allen, all of Cleveland.
Funeral service are scheduled for 2 P.M. Friday June 3, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner and the Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral Home.
