Billy David Holbrooks

Billy Holbrooks, age 75 of Demorest, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. 
Born Habersham County on April 1, 1941, he was a son of the late Andrew Holbrooks and Minnie Ayers Holbrooks. Mr. Holbrooks was a self-employed truck driver and of the Baptist faith. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and wood working. 
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Holbrooks, William Holbrooks, Winford Holbrooks, Andrew Holbrooks, Jr, and Ruby Holbrooks Stamey. 
Surviving are sister, Mary Ruth Holbrooks Stephens of Demorest; son, Sammy Holbrooks of Habersham County; grandson, Andy Holbrooks, special granddaughter, Roxanne Helton; one great grandchild; also numerous nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services are 4:00 pm Sunday, May 29, 2016, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Charles Phillips officiating and military honors to follow.  
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
