Tristan Anthony Payne, 11, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday May 25, 2016.
Born May 20, 2005, Tristan was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. He was a student at Robinson Elementary School where he would have entered the 5th grade in the fall. Tristan was very creative and enjoyed engineering unique projects. His hobbies included football, fishing, farming, hunting, archery, shooting, dirt bikes, and airplanes. He possessed a love of animals and was passionate about helping others. He lived life to its fullest. Fulfilling his unselfish spirit, his family made the decision for organ donation so that others could live richer lives. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lisa Jones.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Donna and Marty Maxwell, Ft. Riley, Kansas; father and stepmother, Kyle and Terri Payne, Dawsonville; sisters, Makenzy Payne, Dawsonville, Lindsey Kinsey, Jasper, Summer Heath, Jasper; grandparents, Vickie and Karl Greif, Bellville, TX, Chris Parker, Pasadena, TX, Tony and Delores Payne, Cumming, Marty and Iretha Maxwell, Colcord, OK, Linda Newsom, Canton; great grandparents, Judy Payne, Royston, GA, Ouida Hazelton, Sherman, TX, Herman Greif, Ortonville, Michigan, Hattie and Leland Maxwell, Colcord, OK; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday May 29, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Josh Coker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to assist with final expenses.
