David Haskell Griffin

Mr. David Haskell Griffin, age 67 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Rebecca Keener will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Griffin was born March 28, 1949 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Ora Griffin and Mary Butler Griffin.  He was retired from the State of Georgia as a Parole Officer.  He and his family attended Free Chapel Worship Center. David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Brenda Savage.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Ina Rae Griffin of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Mandy & Kris Boggs of Dahlonega, son & daughter-in-law, James William & Fay Charlton of Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Dustin (Tabitha) Charlton, Casey (Amanda) Charlton, Lacey Danielle Charlton, Gracie Saralee Charlton, Tyler James Boggs and Emma Claire Boggs, great-grandchildren, David James Charlton, Taylor Grace Charlton, William Riley Charlton and Ryan “Pete” Haskell Charlton and honorary daughter, Gina Woolsey.
