Mr. Edwin (Roger) Suggs, age 77, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Johnny Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel prior to the graveside service.
Roger was born April 25, 1939 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Floyd Jefferson Suggs and Cora Bell Jones Suggs. He was retired and had been employed with Big Dutchman, R& M Poultry and Akin Sales. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesse (Bud) Suggs, Clarence Suggs, and Jim Suggs; sisters, Edna Suggs, Sarah Poole and Violet Autry.
Roger is survived by his wife, Nancy Oliver Suggs of Gainesville; twin daughters, Michelle Tanner and Latrelle Holcombe both of Gainesville; grandson, Chase Holcombe; granddaughter, Callie Tanner; great-grandson, Kolson Waters; brother, Larry Suggs and sister, JoAnn Hunnicutt both of Dacula; and a number of nieces and nephews.
