Sylvia Moak Turner

Sylvia Moak Turner, 80, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at home.  She was born June 7, 1935 in Lindale, GA and was the daughter of the late Broadus Wray Moak and Ruby Nelle Lovvorn Moak.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Richard Jackson Turner, infant son, Glen Turner and a granddaughter, Laura James.

She is survived by companion, Pat Marcellino, Sr.; one son, Richard J. Turner, Jr. of Clayton; two daughters, Olivia Nichols (Steve) of Clayton, GA, Jennifer Marcellino (Patrick) of Clayton, GA; one brother, Rodney Moak (Billie) of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Julia Moak Reeder of Fairfield Glades, TN.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Diana Cowan (Jimmy), Ali James, Eric Turner, Justin Turner, Davis Turner; and 5 great-grandchildren, Walker James, Molly Cowan, Macie Cowan, Garrett Turner and Jackson Turner. 

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Beck Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow visitation at 3 PM at Clayton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeremy Lawson, and Rev. Ken Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in Turner Cemetery.
