George Harold Hogsed, Jr.

Mr. George Harold Hogsed, Jr., 77, of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

 

A lifetime resident of Hall County, Mr. Hogsed was born on September 17, 1938. He was the son of the late George Harold Hogsed, Sr. and Estelle Waters Hogsed. Mr. Hogsed had worked at Arrow Truck Lines, Piedmont, RTC Refrigerated Transport and retired from Koch Foods as the Safety Director. Mr. Hogsed was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

 

Mr .Hogsed is survived by his son, Andrew “Andy” Hogsed of Florida; sons and daughters in law, Britt Hogsed (Shirley), James Hogsed (Gwen) both of Gainesville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister and brother in law, Jackie and Leroy Hartley of Gainesville; brother, Johnny P. Hogsed of Gainesville; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special best friend, June Porter of Gainesville.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Will Gee and Rev. Philip McQueen will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
