Katherine Johnson

Mrs. Katherine Johnson, age 94 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born December 24, 1921 in Johnson City, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  Katherine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Earl Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Bill & Debra Johnson of Gainesville, daughter, Carolyn Azmeh of Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Kathy Azmeh, Joey Azmeh, Christopher Azmeh, Jessica Segars and Jennifer Wheeler and 8 great-grandchildren.
