Bill Edmonds, age 77, of Gainesville, GA passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 following a brief illness.
Bill was born in Stephens County, Ga to the late William Warren and Mary Lee Tatum Edmonds. He was retired from Gainesville College (now University of North Georgia). Bill was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Jenkins Edmonds; sister Mary Ann Edmonds Lisenbee, of Statesboro, GA; Nieces: Caroline (Gene) Joyner, of Statesboro, GA; Suzanne (Eric) Coyle, of Woodbridge, VA; and Megan Martin of Dawsonville, GA; Nephew: Shawn Higgins of Dawsonville, GA; Sister-in-law: Florene Higgins of Dawsonville, GA; ten great nieces and nephews; special friend, Chila Garces Wilce, of North Carolina; many friends and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 2:00 pm in the Little & Davenport Chapel, with internment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on May 17, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm and May 18, 2016, from 1:00-2:00 pm.
