John Roger Considine, age 66 of Clarkesville, passed away after losing his battle with cancer on May 6, 2016.
John, one of six children born to Robert and Barbara Considine of Arcadia, California, was a career pilot with seven years flying jets for the United States Air Force and more than twenty years captaining commercial aircraft for Delta Airlines. John had a gift for mediation. He facilitated the re-engineering of the KC-135 during his years at the Pentagon. John also worked as a Union Negotiator for the Airline Pilots Association, helping to arbitrate their contracts during some of the largest mergers in airline history.
John loved music, all music; he played both the saxophone and the piano better than most. John made his own wine, traveled the world, and dedicated his life to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who encountered him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Eileen Considine, three children, six grandchildren, two dogs, and one outdoor cat.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers you send donations to the Habersham County Humane Society.
