Mr. Paul Cleveland Hatcher, age 73 of Oakwood, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. James B. Hatcher and Reverend Joseph Dover will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Hatcher was born December 27, 1942 in Clermont, Georgia to the late Ransom Elder Hatcher and Cassie Bell Underwood Hatcher. He retired from Flowers Bread Company and Moreno Press. He was of the Baptist Faith and also a Free Mason. Paul was a wonderful father and friend to everyone. He loved socializing with his customers when he worked delivering bread for Flowers Bread Company. Paul also loved tinkering with old cars with his brothers-in-laws in the old chicken house behind his home. He loved country music, dancing, his T-Bird, his grandson, Seth, cowboy hats & boots and loved to vacation in Panama City at the beach. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Bernice Craft, Eunice Brewer, Iris Hatcher, Elaine Hatcher and Cathy Hatcher, his brothers, Ricky Hatcher and Larry Hatcher and special friend, Granny Dover.
Mr. Hatcher is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Kawanna & Roy Martin of Braselton, 1 grandson, Seth Martin of Braselton, brothers & sisters-in-law, Reverend James B. & Betty Hatcher of Lula, Alvin & Brenda Hatcher of Clermont and Frankie & Barbara Hatcher of Gainesville, the mother of his daughter, Judy Ann Hatcher Towe of Hoschton, special friend, Judy Lancaster of Marietta and extended relatives, Wanda Jean Aycock, Billy Dover, Mack Dover, Mitch Dover and Reverend Joseph Dover. Also survived are a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
