Geraldine “Gerry” Bergstrom

Geraldine “Gerry” Bergstrom, 80, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday April 26, 2016.

Born October 9, 1935 in Chieopee, MA to the late Bronislaw and Laura Bell Rygiel, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 20 years having moved from Forsyth County.  A trained chef, she was formerly employed at the Atlanta Country Club after which she worked for Formetco until her retirement.  Gerry was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, cooking, gardening and she lived life to its fullest.

Surviving are her husband, James Bergstrom, Dawsonville; grandson, Eric Glass and his wife Sarah, Valdosta; great granddaughter, Paisley Glass; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Saturday May 14, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Johns Creek.  Pastor Craig Storlie, Pastor Tom Kenny and Vicar Debra Jimenez will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 10250 Haynes Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA  30022.
