James Larry Lord

Mr. James Larry Lord, age 76, of Commerce died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Lord was born in Commerce to the late, James Woodie and Margaret Ellen Stewart Lord.  Mr. Lord was a retired salesman and a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Lord was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lisa Jacobs.

            Mr. Lord is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Hiland Lord of Commerce; son, Lowell Lord of Commerce; sister, Angela McEver of Commerce; brother, Olin Lord of Upland, CA; and four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

            Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 1^st at 2:00 PM from Blacks Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Hunter and Rev. Richard Coppage officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
