Mary Elizabeth Mincey

Mary Elizabeth Mincey age 80 of Dahlonega passed away on April 27th, 2016 surrounded by her family.  Mary was a native of Dahlonega and member of Yahoola Baptist Church.  She loved her family and had a strong work ethic.  She loved to sew, garden, paint, and bake.  Mary also enjoyed traveling with family. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Ola & Luther Thomas, husband Carroll Mincey, brothers Rufus Thomas, Hubert Thomas, Cline Thomas, Price Thomas, Walt Thomas, and Clarence Thomas.

Mary is survived by her son Thorney & wife Lorri Mincey of Dahlonega, daughter Trudy and husband Ricky Tritt of Dahlonega; grandchildren Shannon (Craig) Sexton of Dahlonega, Gretchen (Josh) Kistler of Dahlonega, Rebecca Mincey & fiancé Will Rawlins of Dahlonega; great grandchildren Cooper Sexton, Jaxon Kistler, and Hadley Sexton all of Dahonega, and brother Burt Thomas of Cleveland.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 29, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Pastor Lyman Caldwell and Chris Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends on Thursday April 28, 2016 from 2pm until 9pm.
