June Marie Lawrence Hall

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. June Marie Lawrence Hall, age 88, of Jefferson, Georgia.  June Hall was called away by our great physician on April 25, 2016.  Born in Patterson, New Jersey on January 30, 1928, she was the daughter of Daniel Anthony Lawrence and Jessie Mae June Lawrence.  June Hall was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Walter Theron Hall and daughter Valerie Elizabeth Hall.  Her sister Jessie Lawrence Morgan and brother Daniel Lawrence also preceded her in death. 

Some of Mrs. Hall’s fondest memories are of her nursing career. June Hall received her nursing license from the State of New York on October 27,1949. She worked for the Veterans Administration as well as Emory University.  After a career in nursing and raising her family she retired to the country with her husband to raise cattle. She was a member of Galilee Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and crafts including sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and painting.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Terri and Butch Willbanks, Loganville, son and daughter in law, Walter T. “Chip” and Joannie Hall ,Jr., Myrtle Beach, SC, 4 grandchildren, Erin Willbanks, Patrick Willbanks, Holly Hall, Harrison Hall, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday April 28, 2016 at 11:00 from Galilee Christian Church with Minister Nick Vipperman officiating with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Church 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Thursday, prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Galilee Christian Church Building Fund, 2191 Galilee Church Road, Jefferson, Georgia  30549.
