Sandra Lou Talley Watson

Sandra Lou Talley Watson, 72, of Rabun Gap, Georgia passed away at Northeast Georgia Medical Center with her family at her side.

Sandra was born in Hayesville, North Carolina the daughter of the late Rev. Leonard Talley and Dorothy Alice Darnell Talley. As a child she traveled with her father to revivals and enjoyed the singing, this love of singing lasted a lifetime. Her faith was the most important thing in her life and then her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, children and her loving husband. She enjoyed growing flowers in her flowerbeds and canning fresh vegetables. Sander was a member of Betty’s Creek Baptist Church but had been attending Clayton Church of God.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Butch Talley, Marvin Talley; one sister Mary Lorraine Saylor; one sister-in-law Claudia Talley, and one brother-in-law Doyle Carnes.

She is survived by her loving husband Thad J. Watson JR. of Rabun Gap; three sons Sonny Watson, Tim Watson (Michelle), Tony Watson (Nicky) all of Rabun Gap; one daughter Regina W. Holbrook (Jeff) of Mountain City; two brothers Noel Talley (Sandy) of Franklin, NC; Tommy Talley (Barbara) of Otto, NC; one sister Barbara Carnes of Tiger, GA; one sister in law Karen Talley of Wiley, GA.; 10 grandchildren; two great grand children, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2016 at Beck Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral services planned for 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Clayton Church of God with Rev. Bryan Alexander and Rev. Jason Smith officiating. The committal service will be at Betty’s Creek Baptist Church with Joel Winchester presiding.

The family asked that Memorial donations be made to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund at P.O. Box 485 in Rabun Gap, GA 30568 in memory of Sandra.
