Nettie Smith Parnell

Nettie Smith Parnell, age 62, of Cumming, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 23, 2016. Ms. Parnell was born in Forsyth County on March 6th, 1954, to the late Levi and Lillian Smith. She was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. Nettie was and always will be remembered as a loving mother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jack and Hugh Smith; nephew Jeffrey Smith.

Nettie is survived by her children, McLean (Valorie) Gilbert of Dallas, Levi and Lillie Parnell of Dawsonville; father of Levi and Lillie, Ken Parnell of Gainesville; sister, Betty Walls of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe B. and Jan Smith of Murrayville, Dr. Randy and Cathy Smith of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Elaine Smith of Gainesville, Joan Smith of Dahlonega; along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM, at Grace Baptist Church, located at 3775 Spot Road. Cumming, GA, with Dr. Randy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
