Cathryn Phillips

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Cathryn “Booley” Phillips, age 83, of Jefferson, who passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Mrs. Phillips was born in Jefferson, Georgia, a daughter to the late D.S. Berryman Jr. and the late Voy Jeanette Benton Berryman. Mrs. Phillips worked for the Jackson County School System and was a member of the Jefferson First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Phillips was President of her Sunday School Class, a member of her Church Choir, and had a love for all animals. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Phillips and Billy Wilbanks, and her brothers, Ned G. Berryman and James Doc Berryman.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Dona and Troy Parmely of Chapman, Kansas, grandson, Robert D. Johnson and his fiancé Hillary Bowers of Hoschton; sisters, Elinor Maxine Cash of Buford, Carol Dean Stowe of Buford, Polly Jane Berryman, of Gainesville, Betty Lane Nash of Bogart, Emily Alice Hardeman of Hull and brother, Robert Steve Berryman of Watkinsville.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00am in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson, with Rev. Chris Laskey officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday morning from 10am – 11:00am at the graveside, prior to the service. Honored as pallbearers are Dwayne Cash, Damon Wilbanks, Lane Nash, Mitch Hardeman, Chandler Phillips, Brook Nash, Mark Nash, Steve Berryman, Greg Berryman, Kent Henderson and Britt Henderson.
