Mr. Thomas Dee Hammons, age 51 of 73 Peaceful Lane, Clayton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.
A son of Tom Hammons and Marcelle Holley Cooper, he was born July 31, 1964 in Torrance, California having lived in Clayton for the past 20 years. He was employed with Parkdale Company in Rabun Gap.
Survivors include his father, Tom Hammons of Homer, Georgia and mother, Marcelle Cooper of Lavonia, Georgia; wife of the home, Jonnie Hansford Hammons; two sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and K’Lynn Hammons and Jesse Hammons both of Toccoa; daughters and son-in-law, Christy and James Griffin of Toccoa, Ashley North of Carlton, Georgia and Dixie Raines of Ada, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie Hammons Wartburg, Tennessee and Michael Hammons of Athens, Georgia; sister, Viola Thomas of Alto, Georgia; mother-in-law, Stella Hansford of Lexington, Georgia.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, James Griffin, Billy Roach, Zackery Blane, Kip Ramey and Richard Whatley.

Interment will follow in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Thomas Dee Hammons.
