Roger Wayne Fields

Roger Wayne Fields, age 74, of Cornelia, GA and formerly of Dahlonega, GA passed away April 15, 2016.

Roger lived most of his life in Lumpkin County. He worked with the Lumpkin County Road Department for a number of years and was also a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

Roger was the son of the late John William Fields and Pearl Davis Fields and was also preceded in death by brothers, James Fields and Robert Fields; and a grandson, Jonathan Torrez.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Diane Fields, Cornelia, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Sheree Torrez, Griffin, GA, Janice and Martin Lopez, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Gorge Torrez, A.J. Pruitt, Jessica Danielle Fields, Alex Lopez, and Lucy Fields.

Numerous other relatives also survive.

A memorial service for Roger is scheduled for 4 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Michael Spurr, Rev. Roger Abernathy, and Rev. Rusty Turpin will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA 30 minutes prior to the memorial service and immediately following the service.
