Rev. Ted Clarence Ansley

Rev. Ted Clarence Ansley, age 81 of 648 Arlo Todd Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his residence.

 

A son of the late Powell and Emmie Ward Ansley, he was born February 23, 1935 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Habersham County most of his life.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War era.  He was retired from Coats and Clark with 33 years of service.  He was an ordained Church of God Minister, having pastored Homer Church of God, Hiawassee Church of God, Mountain City Church of God and Persimmon Church of God.  He was a member of The Torch in Demorest, member and former Chaplain of the American Legion #104 and was involved in jail ministry in Habersham County.

 

Survivors include his wife of the home, Joanne Shirley Ansley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Dan Cisson of Toccoa and Natalie and Terry Hendrix of Mt. Airy, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kathy Ansley of Toccoa; grandchildren, Brent and Laura Cisson, Brad and Brittany Cisson, Chandler Hendrix, Ansley Hendrix, Sherry Johnson and Denise Banks; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 16, 2016, 3 O’clock PM at The Pointe with The Reverend Mike Franklin, The Reverend Jerry Chitwood and Pastor Brent Cisson officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tim Nichols, James Chapman, Brad Cisson, Skylar Cisson, Chandler Hendrix and Tristan Banks.

 

The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 3 PM to 5 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.  Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Torch, Haiti Orphanage, 800 Cannon Bridge Road, Demorest, Georgia 30535 in memory of Rev. Ted Clarence Ansley.

 

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the American Legion Post #104.  Acree- Davis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Rev. Ted Clarence Ansley.
