In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her sister, Martha C. Harris and sister in law, Doris Harris.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Alton “Cotton” Harris; daughters and sons in law, Angela and Phillip Shockley, Areta and Greg Morgan; grandchildren, Jonathan and Cory Shockley, Matt Shockley, Jessi and Darin Kimbrell, Robert and Keri Morgan; sister and brother in law, Judy and Garnett Stephens; brother and sister in law, Jack and Sandra Coley; brother, Gary Coley; brother in law, W A Harris; 4 great-grandchildren; one uncle; 2 aunts and a number of nieces and nephews. Special family, Brent and Chasity, Maggie and Savannah Jordan; Jane McCrackin, the Best neighbor, kin and friend ever.

She was a devoted mother & wife. She didn't have a mean bone in her body. She was the best Preachers Wife ever known.

She loved to garden, and "can" her harvest. She loved to sew, cook, crochet, go to church & serve God. She was a born again Christian and truly had a servant’s heart. She could fry chicken better than anyone else I know and her biscuits were PERFECT, not to mention her sweet tea and turkey dressing. She was the best person I have ever known on this earth. She is my sweet mama.
