Matthew G. Williams, 53, of Gainesville, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2016 after a brief illness.
Matthew grew up in Atlanta and was a 1979 graduate of Forsyth County High School.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard (Dick) Williams.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Carolyn Y. Williams; sisters, Lisa Shunnarah (Rick), Suzanne Williams; brother, Andrew Williams (Allison) and beloved nephew, Alexander (Zan); nieces, Olivia (Livy) and Rachel Shunnarah.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Grace Episcopal Church, 422 Brenau Ave., N.E., Gainesville. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Forsyth County Humane Society, Grace Episcopal Church or an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
